Rachel Michael Arends lives in Cary, North Carolina with her husband and their three children, including twins. She has been a public library director, a corporate consultant, and she silently co-owns a successful software firm. She received a B.A. in History from the University of Michigan-Flint, and an M.S. in Library Science from Wayne State University in Detroit.
